When the towers fell, dust rose. Along with that dust rose a generation of Americans who swore to defend our nation. The Americans who chose to go forward to take our nation’s fight to the enemy knew that their families back home would be taken care of by the first responders on the home front.
The men and women of the FDNY, NYPD, and the PANY who responded on 9/11 set the example for what courage and selflessness really meant. This example was followed by countless military members who went overseas to take the fight to our Nation’s enemies.
